About the role
- Tasks include routine embedding and cutting of Surgical and BX tissues.
- The Technician will operate computerized laboratory equipment to fix, dehydrate, and infiltrate with wax, tissue specimens to be preserved for study by pathologists.
- Prepares slides of specimens using specified stains to enhance visibility under microscope.
Requirements
- The technician will have the ability to prepare and examine slides under the microscope to ensure QC requirements are met.
Nice to have
- Experience in clinical lab or pathology lab preferred.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field preferred with required license.
Compensation
- Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $3.18
- Hourly Night Shift Differential: $4.76
