About the role

  • The position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the VA Maryland Healthcare System in Mental Health Clinical Center.

Responsibilities

  • The primary purpose of the position is to performs a variety of supportive technician tasks in assisting physicians and other professional personnel in a rehabilitation treatment program.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be physically and mentally able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to themselves or others.
  • 3 years of experience which has demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities: To assist professional personnel in effective operation of a rehabilitation treatment program for alcohol or drug-dependent patients.
  • For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06.
  • The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service.
  • An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
  • If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.

Compensation

  • $56k-$72k
