About the role
- As a Manual Machinist in the Direct Manual Machine Shop, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machining equipment to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards.
- Working in a fast-paced production environment, you will interpret engineering drawings, troubleshoot machining issues, and ensure consistent part quality.
Responsibilities
- You will operate a range of equipment, support continuous improvement efforts, and contribute to maintaining safe and efficient shop operations.
Requirements
- This role requires strong machining experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Lean Tools and Techniques such as 5S, Setup Reduction, One Piece Flow.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Nice to have
- Interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications
- Operate and set up Manual / CNC equipment, including:
- Red Seal Journeyman Machinist or Equivalent preferred.
- Formal Training in CNC Programming or Equivalent.
