  • The Product Architecture Engineer serves as a technical leader in defining and optimizing DRAM-based solutions for emerging computing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a cross-disciplinary understanding of DRAM memory technologies, fabrication processes, system architectures, interconnects, signaling, power, performance, reliability, and cost tradeoffs to define optimized memory solutions.
  • Create product concepts, technical requirements, whitepapers, specifications, training materials, and other user documentation to support new memory technologies and intellectual property development.
  • Apply AI-assisted analysis and engineering tools to support technology evaluation, market insights, product planning, and technical decision-making.
  • At Micron, the Compute and Memory Business Unit (CMBU) drives innovation in advanced memory solutions that power next-generation datacenter, high-performance computing, and Artificial Intelligence workloads.
  • The team collaborates across engineering, product, and business functions to define memory architectures that address evolving customer and industry needs while enabling future technology roadmaps.
  • This role develops deep expertise in memory technologies, system architectures, industry standards, and market trends to influence product strategy and customer adoption.
  • The engineer works closely with customers, ecosystem partners, and internal development teams to create innovative memory solutions, define product requirements, and support successful deployment of new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field..
  • Experience evaluating hardware/software interactions, system requirements, and performance tradeoffs in complex computing environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill and present technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, multi-functional engineering environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience with datacenter, high-performance computing, Artificial Intelligence, or advanced memory system architectures.
  • Experience participating in industry standards groups, technical conferences, customer-facing engineering activities, or technology consortia.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, Artificial Intelligence technologies, or data-driven engineering methodologies to improve analysis, innovation, and technical productivity.
  • $70,000.00 - $191,000.00 a year
  • The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
