About the role

  • You will also expose internal endpoints for other DV teams, consume and reconcile data from systems across DV, and work with very large datasets generated by adtech auction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Explore, evaluate, and integrate external partner APIs to support DV Scibids product expansion.
  • Work closely with Product to clarify what partner platforms technically allow, identify constraints early, and help shape product decisions accordingly.
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and endpoints consumed by other DV teams.
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and services that ingest, transform, and reconcile data from partner platforms and internal DV systems.
  • Work with massive datasets generated by digital advertising auctions and build systems that remain reliable and performant at scale.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, Product, and other Engineering teams to bridge business needs, platform capabilities, and Scibids optimization logic.
  • Operate production systems, investigate issues, assess impact, and implement durable fixes.
  • Improve observability, reliability, and maintainability of the systems you own.
  • Provide code reviews, contribute to system design discussions, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or a similar role.
  • You are comfortable reasoning about ambiguous external platform behavior and turning that into robust internal abstractions.
  • You have experience designing and operating data pipelines or services that work with large-scale datasets.
  • You are familiar with cloud environments and modern engineering practices such as Git, CI/CD, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with product managers and non-technical stakeholders, and can help translate platform constraints into actionable product decisions.
  • You have strong communication skills and work well across teams.
  • Partner with AI platform teams to enable deployment of agentic solutions Who you are: You have 3+ years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or a similar role.

Nice to have

  • You have strong programming skills in Python and SQL
  • experience with Java, Rust, or similar languages is a plus.
  • We use AI-augmented development style, familiarity with Claude Code or Cursor is welcome but not mandatory Familiarity with AdTech or auction-based systems is not required, but is a plus.

  • The Role: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own and build critical data and integration capabilities at the core of DV Scibids' product expansion.
  • You will explore partner APIs, help Product and Engineering evaluate technical opportunities and constraints, and build reliable services and data flows on top of those integrations.
  • This position combines strong software engineering fundamentals, a product mindset, curiosity for external systems, and the ability to design pragmatic, scalable data solutions in a complex ecosystem.
