About the role

  • DevOps Engineer - Contract - Richmond, VA - $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
  • Work is performed within established architectures, standards, and procedures, with guidance from more senior engineers as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Role Description The DevOps Engineer provides operational and engineering support for companies' application and infrastructure environments.
  • Collaborate with development and engineering teams to support application deployments, performance, and operational stability.
  • Support the operation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, helping ensure reliable and low-disruption deployments.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and analysis of infrastructure and application issues, following documented procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation for systems, processes, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • The DevOps Engineer applies expanded technical knowledge while continuing to develop proficiency in DevOps practices, tools, and organizational processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support as required, following established escalation and incident response processes.

Skills

  • Assist with automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Compensation

  • $55k-$60k
