About the role

This role helps reduce the operational burden on product engineers by maintaining reliable development systems, improving consistency across teams, and supporting scalable engineering workflows.
The right candidate will be comfortable working across a broad set of systems, learning unfamiliar tools, troubleshooting ambiguous problems, and collaborating directly with engineers to improve how work gets done.
It is a hands-on engineering systems role with room to expand across engineering tooling and infrastructure over time.

Begin developing a conceptual high-level understanding of the engineering systems landscape, including development platforms, CI/CD workflows, build and release processes, artifact and dependency management, and supporting infrastructure.
Build working relationships with engineers and stakeholders across teams to understand how systems are used in practice and where pain points exist.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
Ability to troubleshoot and improve complex existing systems rather than only working in greenfield environments.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work directly with engineers and stakeholders across teams.
Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure-based engineering environments.
Experience with engineering systems such as CI/CD platforms, artifact and dependency management tools, build agents, code quality or security analysis systems, and similar development infrastructure.
Experience supporting embedded software or mixed software/firmware development workflows.
Experience with scripting in Bash or PowerShell, and programming in Node.js, Python, C#, or similar languages.
Experience with infrastructure as code or related configuration automation practices.
Experience improving documentation, standardizing workflows, or increasing reliability in shared engineering systems.

Documentation and standard processes improve, reducing dependency on individual tribal knowledge.
