About the role
- Overview The D460 Second Shift Construction Support Integration Engineering team has a Systems Engineering position available. Our engineering and design group is responsible for providing on-site deckplate technical leadership for all second shift operations on the Quonset Point facility for both the VIRGINIA and COLUMBIA Class including structural,
- mechanical, piping, and electrical construction. Responsibilities include the resolution and trouble-shooting of second shift construction issues, integration with second shift Quonset Point operations and support groups, and liaison support between second shift operations and various stakeholders. Candidates will function as an engineering representative
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering 5+ years of postgraduate engineering experience The ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense secret clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience/knowledge of submarine construction.
- Experience dispositioning and peer reviewing Engineering Reports or similar.
- Experience with trouble-shooting and technical problem solving.
- Experience with providing deck-plate engineering construction support.
- Experience with task or project management.
- Knowledge of construction drawings, system diagrams, and test forms.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Candidate must be able to take initiative and work independently.
