  • General Description: An OU Health Registered Nurse (RN) II works under general supervision and provides nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of advanced professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
  • RN II represents the competent nurse who meets expectations outlined in the baseline job description while advancing to proficiency.

Nice to have

  • Specialty certification(s) preferred.
