About the role
- AWP Safety is on the lookout for motivated individuals to embark on a rewarding career as a Shuttle Driver.
- Picking up our traffic control flaggers on a van and shuttling them to and from the jobsites.
- Carries out regular check on the shuttle vehicle before and after each day's run
Responsibilities
- As your traffic control partner, we safeguard your people, your business, and your time.
- We deliver comprehensive traffic management services, supporting utility, broadband, and infrastructure work in communities across the country.
- We also provide consultation and traffic design services, as well as traffic control equipment.
- AWP considers any position that requires the individual to drive an AWP vehicle and/or be present at an AWP worksite for any reason a safety sensitive position.
Requirements
- This position is perfect for those who thrive in diverse environments and are seeking a dynamic career path without the requirement of a college degree.
- Must be 21 or over and have a current and valid driver's license or CDL with good driving record
- Must be able to safely operate vehicles based on company standards and confidence in driving large vehicles
- Ability to work with a diverse team and clientele
- Frequently required to stand and walk, talk and hear
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- The employee must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
Nice to have
- Commercial driving
- Regular exposure to outdoor elements, including varying temperatures, humidity, and weather conditions.
- Van driver: 1 year (Preferred)
