About the role
- The construction laborer helps the pipe layer by performing duties requiring less technical experience.
- The laborer plays a major day to day role to keep work sites clean and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Growth path: Laborer → Skilled Laborer → Pipe Layer → Lead Pipe Layer → Foreman → Superintendent
- May perform flagging duties to control and maintain flow of traffic in work zone

Requirements
- Must have physical ability to recognize and avoid security risks.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits/ conditions
- Must be comfortable working in 15ft to 20ft trenches

- Frequently required to stand, talk and hear
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and smell.
Skills
- Duties include using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
- Load, unload, and/or identify materials and tools
- Preforms general construction work (using hand tools, lifting materials on average up to 50 pounds) under direction of Foreman or Supervisor
