About the role
- The Receiving Associate is responsible for safely and accurately moving products through the warehouse.
- Communicates effectively with team members to ensure a smooth transition of goods. - Responsible for the timely unloading of inbound trailers, ensuring the careful handling of food products to prevent damage or spoilage.
- Adheres to safety guidelines and protocols during the unloading process. - Conducts thorough inspections of received products to verify quantity, quality, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Accurately records and documents all received shipments, including product details, quantities, and any discrepancies. Maintain organized and up-to-date records for easy reference.
- We deliver organic produce, high-quality meats and seafood, plant-based proteins, dairy, bakery, wine, and other grocery items to nearly every zip code in 48 states at up to 30 percent off traditional grocery store prices.
- In 2022, Misfits Market acquired sustainable e-grocer Imperfect Foods and now leverages its in-house transportation network to deliver directly to consumers with one of the most carbon-efficient grocery delivery models on the market.
Requirements
- Experience or comfort with working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees)
- Ability to thrive in a repetitive and fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation
Nice to have
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
- Experience working in a food based environment
Compensation
