About the role

  • Essential functions of this position include:
  • generate timely payments for all of OCJ's financial obligations
  • Assist the Finance Director with the annual budget process as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or MBA degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and administration
  • Demonstrated experience in financial and organizational management in the non-profit sector.
  • Progressive experience as it relates to the requirement for independent action and initiative, and the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent computer skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet preparation in Excel and Google Sheets, and general knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suite applications.
  • The following are attributes that will contribute to success in this role:
  • Working familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • prior experience with NetSuite accounting software is a bonus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable both taking the lead on a project and accepting direction.
  • Creative, curious, and innovative thinker who is able to think outside the box.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes in the environment.

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated experience using a financial database (software)

Compensation

  • $80,000 - $105,000
  • $700 annual Health and Wellness Stipend
