About the role
- Essential functions of this position include:
- generate timely payments for all of OCJ's financial obligations
- Assist the Finance Director with the annual budget process as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's or MBA degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and administration
- Demonstrated experience in financial and organizational management in the non-profit sector.
- Progressive experience as it relates to the requirement for independent action and initiative, and the ability to prioritize.
- Excellent computer skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet preparation in Excel and Google Sheets, and general knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suite applications.
- The following are attributes that will contribute to success in this role:
- Working familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- prior experience with NetSuite accounting software is a bonus.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable both taking the lead on a project and accepting direction.
- Creative, curious, and innovative thinker who is able to think outside the box.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes in the environment.
Nice to have
- Demonstrated experience using a financial database (software)
Compensation
- $80,000 - $105,000
- $700 annual Health and Wellness Stipend
