About the role

  • Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless.
  • We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.
  • This role is crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production equipment, including complex systems.

Responsibilities

  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and perform corrective maintenance on complex production systems to minimize downtime and maximize operational availability.
  • Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to operate effectively under pressure, logically diagnose equipment casualties, and take decisive action to restore operation.
  • Technical Documentation: Proven ability to read, interpret, and work from complex schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with pumps, valves, compressors, and fluid systems OR strong electrical aptitude with power distribution, control systems, and electronics.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with pumps, valves, compressors, and fluid systems OR strong electrical aptitude with power distribution, control systems, and electronics.
  • Operations & Maintenance Experience: Experience gained as a qualified operator or maintenance technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment is highly desired.
  • Education & Bonus Skills: A technical degree or certification is a plus. Experience with lasers, vacuum systems, or high-pressure systems is a significant bonus. Completion of the Naval Nuclear Power School, Prototype, and a sea tour serves as an exceptional equivalent to formal education.
