We do this by engaging each of our scholars in a restorative, relevant school experience that prioritizes personalized academic support, well-being, and preparation for the post-Maya pathway of their choice.
Develop, review, and update IEPs in compliance with IDEA.
Monitor and document student progress.
Use restorative practices to support the academic and behavioral growth of scholars.

Position Overview The Special Education Teacher/Case Manager will provide individualized instruction and case management services to students within a secure facility.
In one class period, the Special Education Teacher/Case Manager will support scholars taking multiple courses, including accelerated offerings across the following content areas: English/ELA, math, science, and history.
Adapt and/or modify lessons to accommodate varied learning styles, abilities, and academic levels of scholars.
Ensure high-quality instructional materials comply with organization, facility, district, and federal education regulations.
Classroom Management Maintain a positive, structured learning environment for all scholars.
Collaboration, Support, and Guidance Work closely with colleagues, leadership, and facility staff to ensure delivery of a well-rounded educational program.
Other Duties as Assigned Tasks that may not directly align with your job description but are vital and serve to maintain a safe and effective teaching and learning environment for scholars and staff.
