About the role

- You'll be pitching and writing features that give educators something concrete to act on and spark real conversation; the kind of stories educators, parents, and edtech leaders can't stop debating in comment sections and group chats.
Responsibilities
- The role also requires availability for in-person meetings, workshops, and design reviews as needed, and coordination across time zones.
Requirements
- Occasional travel is required for team gatherings and organizational meetings.
Nice to have
- 7+ years of journalism/reporting with feature writing, feature editing, and feature assigning experience
- Ability to identify trends and turn them into sharp, compelling story angles
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven digital media environments
- Multimedia and multichannel writing, editing, and/or producing experience (Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, etc)
- Experience using data to inform editorial priorities and content strategy
- Ability to represent the organization at in-person conferences and online events, including facilitating panels
- Working knowledge of foundational AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and more
- Experience managing more junior staff members is a major plus
Compensation
- $100k-$125k
