About the role
- The potential for offsite travel can potentially be in excess of 30-50%.
- Some overseas travel is possible although NO TRAVEL to declared warzones is anticipated.

Responsibilities
- Leads the Project Team consisting of Project Coordinators and the functional department leads (including major subcontractor leads) assigned to the Post Delivery Availability project.
- Manages project specific risks relative to schedule and cost
- Monitor all schedules and resource plans and resolve any abnormalities with the Functional Leads
- Monitor quality standards and give feedback to the Functional Leads
- Maintains effective deck plate working relationships across the functional team, prime contractor, subcontractors, ships force and PMS communities.
- Support the Estimating Business System initiative in response to RFP or RFQ requirements to ensure Basis of Estimates are in accordance with DFARs Cost Estimating System Requirements.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to bend, squat, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Ability to turn head from side to side and about the vertical axis.
- Ability to turn body at the waist from side to side and about the vertical axis.
- Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps).
- Ability to work at heights above 12' while working from ladders, scaffolding and/or man lifts.
- Demonstrate the ability to safely and appropriately use required tools and equipment.
- Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards.
- Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures.
- Five to seven (5-7) years' experience in a shipbuilding, ship repair or similar construction and manufacturing industrial type environment to include supervision or management experience required.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) required.
- Fully competent in shipbuilding industry related crafts or specific discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and data while navigating effectively with applicable software required.
- Ability to utilize and interpret relevant cost and schedule data reports including having a familiarity of scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project, etc.) required.
- Ability to efficiently validate, interpret and understand task scheduling or work sequencing required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and take initiative in all aspects of the position duties required.
- Willingness to work irregular and extended work hours as needed required.
- Repair experience preferred
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot shipboard systems as required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or Management preferred.
Compensation
- Salary range depends on relevant experience: $108,880 - $160,916

- Must be able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance
