This role combines Epic Principal Trainer expertise with people leadership, program governance, and instructional design to ensure physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and staff are prepared to safely, efficiently, and consistently use Epic in support of patient care.
Serving as the accountable owner of Epic training at MarinHealth, this role oversees training resources and standards, while leading training programs for providers and APPs to drive effective system adoption, workflow efficiency, and alignment with clinical workflows, policies, and patient care standards.
Instructional Design & Systems
Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff

Epic Principal Trainer certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe
Strong knowledge of inpatient and/or ambulatory clinical workflows

Multiple Epic certifications
Experience supporting Epic go-lives, upgrades, or optimization initiatives
Experience with physician and APP training programs
Project or change management certification (e.g., PMP, Prosci)

Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth's compensation philosophy.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, education, informatics, information systems, or related field required.
