About the role
- We are seeking a proactive and experienced Director, Revenue Accounting to join our team.
- This role is crucial for centralizing the revenue accounting function for the greater project-based business and will play a key part in determining the accounting treatment of revenue as the company evolves.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Revenue Accounting function of our business, including daily tracking of revenue progress, building of revenue backlog, forecasting future results, and communication with executive leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Train and mentor accounting staff to build a cohesive and effective team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in accounting.
- Experience supporting private equity-backed companies or similar environments experiencing a high rate of change desirable.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and compensation accounting principles.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree required, Accounting degree preferred.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Acumatica or similar ERP is a plus.
Compensation
- and Benefits - $150,000-$160,000 plus full suite of benefits (healthcare, dental, vision, 401K match, etc)
