About the role

  • Help shape the next generation of missionaries by serving as a Teaching Assistant in our Children Education Program.
  • Worker Type: Employee Temporary (Fixed Term) Time Type: Part time

Responsibilities

  • Support Classroom Teaching -
  • Positive Attitude - Energetic, patient, and able to build rapport with children from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Foster a Safe, Welcoming Atmosphere - ensure every child feels valued, protected, and ready to learn.
  • Classroom Management - aid teachers in maintaining order, encouraging positive behavior, and implementing age‑appropriate discipline.
  • Meal & Snack Assistance - supervise children during lunch and snack times, promoting healthy habits and fellowship.
  • Team Collaboration - communicate daily with teachers, coordinators, and other assistants to ensure smooth program flow.
  • Heart for Missions - A genuine love for serving the families of missionaries and a desire to see children grow in faith.
  • Experience & Flexibility - Prior work or volunteer experience with children (any age group) is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt quickly between classroom settings.
  • Reliability & Integrity - Punctual, trustworthy, and able to follow safety and child‑protection policies.

Compensation

  • $15.50 per hour
  • Up to 33 weeks per year (as program schedules dictate)

Benefits

  • Support Classroom Teaching - Assist the lead teacher in one of the following areas: Preschool (0‑5 years), School‑Age (6‑12 years) or Floater - provide coverage across multiple classrooms as needed
