About the role
- You will integrate regulatory expertise into Generate's commercial strategy and help shape policy outcomes.
- Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.
- It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams to develop and execute robust community engagement plans that support Generate's infrastructure goals and local community needs
- Experience in coalition-building, thinking strategically to develop a course of action to achieve policy objectives and persuading stakeholders to follow it
- Experience managing consultants, lobbyists, and external advisors to support achieving business objectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience energy policy or market strategy focused on electricity industry
- Experience engaging directly with utilities and grid operators, with preference for experience with SPP and/or ERCOT
- Experience with wholesale market design, regulatory structures, and interconnection processes, including ERCOT and/or SPP

- Generate's compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
