About the role

  • This position plays a critical role in protecting brand integrity by leveraging quality data, leading quality assurance programs, and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all quality control operations to ensure finished goods, components, and repaired merchandise consistently meet David Yurman quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection standards, procedures, training materials, and quality tools across internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
  • Lead, develop, and coach Quality Control Inspectors, Polishing personnel, Returns Inspection teams, and Quality Data Processor(s).
  • Manage staffing, workload prioritization, and resource allocation to support business needs and service level commitments.
  • Partner with manufacturing vendors and internal stakeholders to identify, communicate, and resolve quality concerns.
  • Manage Returns Inspection operations to ensure accurate evaluation, disposition, and processing of returned merchandise.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, KPIs, and quality performance summaries for leadership review.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, reduce defects, improve throughput, and support scalability.
  • This role manages quality inspection teams, quality processes, vendor quality performance, and product validation programs across finished goods, components, repairs, and returned merchandise.
  • The Quality Control Manager partners closely with manufacturing vendors, distribution operations, and cross functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives, reduce defects, enhance operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with established quality standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with global manufacturing base and various departments with in the company.
  • Organizational skills required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of jewelry construction, gemstones, diamonds, silver & gold required.
  • Minimum seven years' experience working in a quality position in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Four years' experience building, training, and managing a team.
  • Basic Computer skills

  • Travel: Some travel possible
  • Estimated Base Salary: $85,000-$95,000.
  • Base pay is one component of David Yurman's total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, generous paid time off, sick time, and more.

Nice to have

  • College Degree preferred, but not required with sufficient experience.
  • GIA Certification Preferred, but not required

Compensation

  • Base pay is one component of David Yurman's total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
  • $85,000-$95,000.
