About the role

  • This is not a "light technical" onboarding role.
  • We need someone who can drop into messy real-world environments, read logs, reason about systems, write scripts, and turn ambiguity into a working solution - then explain it clearly to a gym owner, studio operator, or community leader.
  • This includes prototypes, data transforms, and one-off tooling when needed.

Responsibilities

  • designing integrations, building and debugging implementations, shaping APIs/workflows with our product/engineering team, and shipping real code/config that unlocks value for hosts and expedite the migration process for studios/gyms and event hosts.
  • reproduce issues, inspect payloads, debug API/webhook failures, diagnose performance or data issues, and partner with Engineering on fixes.
  • Define and track implementation/technical success metrics (time-to-first-event, time-to-first-$, integration error rates, data freshness, migration quality, churn risk signals) and use them to drive continuous improvement.
  • 4-7+ years in software engineering, solutions engineering, sales engineering, forward-deployed engineering, developer advocacy, or technical customer success - with significant hands-on building.
  • scrappy, resourceful, energized by ambiguity, and excited to build systems from the ground up.
  • Are excited to build systems from the ground up - not just optimize what someone else built

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting a two-sided marketplace or platform business
  • Experience with internal tooling/automation (Zapier, Airtable etc.)
  • Experience with instrumentation/monitoring or analytics pipelines
  • Key hosts launch and expand faster - time-to-value decreases measurably under your ownership
  • Integrations are stable, observable, and maintainable - not fragile one-offs
  • Migrations are clean and trusted - hosts see correct data and feel confident
  • Recurring technical blockers get eliminated through product improvements, not just patched repeatedly
  • Success and Engineering operate as one team on host outcomes - with crisp handoffs, clear specs, and rapid iteration

Skills

  • Hosts use our platform to run their business - from ticketing and RSVPs to class packs and memberships.
  • what our product can do today,
  • what hosts need to run their business,
  • Strong fundamentals (APIs, auth, webhooks, databases, data modeling)
  • Comfortable writing production-quality scripts/services (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL/Postgres or similar)
  • Can work with JSON, CSVs, ETL-style transforms, and automation
