About the role
- We're looking for a Director of Legal and Business Affairs to join ABTC's legal and business team.
- Some days that means digging into a contract; others it means owning a cross-functional workstream or helping prepare materials for the board.
- You bring the rigor of big law and the adaptability of someone who thrives in environments where the playbook is still being written.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of corporate transactions, including capital markets activity, M&A, and strategic partnerships
- Draft and review contracts, term sheets, board resolutions, and other legal documents
- Support corporate governance, including board and committee meeting preparation
- Own discrete business and operational projects end-to-end, not just the legal pieces
- Help build and maintain internal processes as the company scales
Requirements
- 2-5 years of Big Law experience, with meaningful exposure to corporate, M&A, capital markets, or securities work
- you can write a board memo and a term sheet comment with equal facility
Nice to have
- Admitted to practice in at least one US jurisdiction (active bar membership preferred)
