Responsibilities

  • Perform quantity take-offs and develop bills of materials for all electrical components.
  • Prepare cost estimates across all classification levels and stage gates of the pre-construction phase-from conceptual sketches (Class 5) through 30% design (Class 3) to 100% detailed design (Class 1).
  • Develop comprehensive estimating roadmaps, including Basis of Estimate (BoE), estimate reports, and final estimate packages.
  • Build a new transmission estimating capability
  • Opportunity to become lead estimator

Requirements

  • Understand mid- and low-voltage electrical components and have hands-on experience with industry standards and manuals such as NECA and RS Means.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a college diploma in Electrical Power is also considered.
  • 5-8 years of experience in cost estimating for transmission line and substation projects across pre- and post-contract phases.
  • 3-5 years of experience with electrical contractors is an asset.

  • $110k-$140k
