About the role

  • The Operations Supervisor oversees daily baggage handling system operations within the Individual Carrier System (ICS), managing staff and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective performance.
  • Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):
  • Works under the direction of the Site O&M Manager to oversee site system operations for Individual Carrier System (ICS).

Responsibilities

  • Manages baggage operations throughout the terminal baggage handling system
  • Manages a team performing a variety of less interrelated activities.
  • Manages the daily operation activities, leads and sets direction of the operational team including subcontractors.
  • Plan and manage resources to ensure the cost-effective execution of the system operation.
  • Train, manage, and lead employee performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Process administrative work that supports the maintenance and operational processes.
  • Manage control room team consisting of Vibes program specialists and control room operators. Track Operational KPIs with the use of SCADA, VIBES, ITMC and others.
  • Oversee and Manage Operations Team and subcontractors

Requirements

  • Ability to pass 10-year background checks to the extent required by TSA and airport authorities is required.
  • Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport ID Badge/ CBP Seal.
  • 5+ years of experience with system operations management and managing employees, leading, motivating, and mentoring teams.
  • Experience with Control Systems and Networks.
  • Experience in industrial, commercial construction, or material handling/conveyor systems industries.
  • Experience adhering to and implementing customer contracts.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) field preferred
  • Airport, Airlines or Warehouse Operations experience is preferred
  • Conveyor services or material handling services experience
  • Experience coordinating training with a team
  • Proven track record of problem solving, taking on entrepreneurial challenges and simplifying the complex.
