About the role

  • You should be comfortable taking the initiative where systems are informal, documentation is limited, and processes are still being built.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain accurate inventories of devices, software, accounts, licenses, and key IT assets.
  • Own identity and access management across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, SaaS tools, admin panels, and other business systems.
  • Support the company's adoption of AI tools in practical, secure, and useful ways.
  • Help teams identify repetitive workflows that could be improved through automation, AI tools, better documentation, or better system design.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT administration, systems administration, IT operations, helpdesk leadership, or a similar hands-on role.
  • Ability to work independently, identify problems, and propose practical solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
  • You are detail-oriented when handling permissions, devices, accounts, and security settings.

Nice to have

  • Experience as the first dedicated IT hire, sole IT owner, or IT generalist at a small or mid-sized company.
  • Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Google Apps Script, or similar tools.
  • Experience with AI tools, automation platforms, or internal productivity tooling.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada is required.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • English fluency is required for communication with our Ontario, Edmonton, and European teams.
  • Compensation of $70,000 - $90,000, based on experience.
  • A role with real ownership over how IT works at the company.
