About the role

  • Second Priority: Candidates residing anywhere within the United States for a remote role.
  • We help finance teams capture, code, approve, and pay invoices with AI handling the repetitive work - across AP automation, Vendor Pay payments, and spend management.
  • This covers invoice capture accuracy, line-item extraction, GL inference quality, confidence scoring, exception handling, and the human-in-the-loop validation experience that turns every correction into a better model.

Responsibilities

  • About The Role ou'll own data validation - the domain that determines whether an invoice can move from capture to approval without a human, and how the platform behaves when it can't.
  • You'll partner closely with ML engineering and data science to push accuracy up and rework down, and with design to make the validation experience fast and trustworthy for AP teams.
  • Own the roadmap for data validation across the invoice lifecycle - capture, extraction, coding, and matching - with a clear goal of raising straight-through processing while protecting accuracy.
  • Partner with ML and data science on extraction and GL-inference model performance - framing the problems, defining evaluation metrics, and prioritizing the data and feedback loops that improve them over time.
  • Design the human-in-the-loop validation experience so that every correction an AP team makes feeds back into a smarter model.
  • Own the metrics for data quality - field- and line-item-level accuracy, exception rate, correction volume, and time-to-resolution - and use them to drive the roadmap.
  • You will have the agency to solve difficult problems creatively, the freedom to explore work that inspires you, and infrastructure to ensure you're constantly challenged and developing.

Nice to have

  • Domain knowledge in accounts payable, GL coding, or finance operations.
  • how to balance automation with human judgment, and how to make review fast.

Compensation

  • USD $145,000-160,000 per year + annual bonus.
  • Annual company retreats.
