Responsibilities
- Strategic Operations Leadership: Serve as a senior operational partner to the executive leadership team, participating in quarterly strategic planning sessions to translate firm strategy into measurable operational priorities and scalable execution.
- Partner with Finance to review operational expenditures, evaluate ROI, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining clear separation from ownership of the Finance function.
- Technology & AI Governance: Oversee legal technology, technology vendors, inventories, and system utilization while developing policies for AI use, document storage, email retention, and technology governance that improve efficiency while protecting confidentiality and compliance.
- Process Improvement: Standardize and document SOPs, improve cross-functional workflows, clarify departmental ownership, eliminate operational inefficiencies, and implement scalable processes that support continued firm growth.
- Business Continuity and Crisis Management: Develop plans for crisis situations, ensuring minimal impact on firm operations and client services.
- Leadership and Accountability: Lead operational initiatives with authority by setting clear priorities, establishing accountability across departments, following through on strategic initiatives, and driving consistent execution throughout the firm.
- Executive Partnership: Serve as the primary operational liaison for senior leadership by consolidating cross-functional information, providing clear executive updates, and reducing the need for leadership to manage day-to-day operational issues directly.
- With offices across the United States, we maintain a strong commitment to each client, adapting to their evolving needs and helping them navigate emerging growth opportunities.
- This position is designed to bring strategic oversight and cohesion to our operations, ensuring that the firm operates efficiently and effectively.
- You will play a crucial role in building infrastructure, creating accountability systems, and supporting our dynamic growth trajectory.
Requirements
- Operational Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a senior operations role within a law firm or related legal environment.
- KPI and Data Proficiency: Expertise in developing and managing KPIs, data analysis, and presenting actionable insights through dashboards.
- Vendor Management Skills: Experience in negotiating and managing vendor contracts, ensuring cost-effective service delivery.
Nice to have
- MBA, JD, or other advanced degree is a plus but not required.
- Equivalent experience in legal operations leadership will also be considered.
Skills
