About the role
- Aypa Power, a Blackstone portfolio company, is a leading developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable projects that power our communities and cities.
- We have been at the forefront of energy storage development since our first energy storage project came online in 2018.
- The analysis will be used within a multi-functional team to inform and guide project development and acquisition strategies.
Responsibilities
- Perform powerflow analysis to understand the potential risks and costs of interconnecting new generation to the system
- Develop planning level cost estimates for interconnection facilities
- Develop and streamline processes and automation to support an efficient workflow

Requirements
- 3 years minimum experience and proficiency with at least one Powerflow Software: TARA, PSSE, PSLF;
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with additional consideration given to applicants with advanced degrees;
- Experience in one or more electric markets (CAISO, PJM, ERCOT, NYISO);
- Working knowledge of NERC planning standards;
- Experience with Python, Java, or similar programming languages desired;
- Experience with data visualization tools (ArcGIS, PowerBI) desired;
- Highly organized with demonstrated ability to work under tight time requirements and deadlines.

- A base salary commensurate with experience;
