Responsibilities
- Performs engineering assignments requiring the application of standard structural engineering principles, practices, and techniques under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Performs structural analysis and design calculations for routine building and facility projects and assists with portions of larger, more complex projects
- Applies engineering fundamentals, design standards, and applicable building codes to develop structural solutions.
- Develops construction documents including plans, details, schedules, elevations, sections, and specifications utilizing Revit and AutoCAD
- Coordinates structural designs with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure consistency and constructability.
- Performs field investigations, observations, measurements, and documentation of existing conditions at project sites.
- Utilizes engineering software to perform structural analysis, calculations, and design documentation.
- Performs quality control reviews of assigned work and assists with checking drawings and calculations for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinates with drafters and designers to accurately convey structural design intent in construction documents.
- Works closely with licensed Professional Engineers and senior structural engineers to develop technical expertise and engineering judgment.
Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
