About the role

  • We are seeking a motivated Support Engineer to join our high-energy Trade & Platform Support team at Schonfeld.
  • In this role, you will drive global Incident Management; coordinating, troubleshooting, and resolving live production issues across our quantitative trading platform.
  • You'll serve as the front-line guardian of our proprietary trading environment, partnering with teammates in New York, London, and APAC to deliver seamless 24 × 7 "follow-the-sun" support.

Responsibilities

  • The Platform Support Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for production issues, support requests, and system alerts.
  • Beyond firefighting, you will integrate AI into day-to-day workflows to automate processes, enhance monitoring, and drive operational efficiency, as well as build additional tools to strengthen our environment.
  • Experience developing tools and/or automating processes

Requirements

  • Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in financial services supporting trading and post-trade systems
  • Experience in managing large scale deployments/environments
  • Experience supporting applications in a Linux environment
  • Experience with supporting FIX protocol
  • Experience with NFS and GPFS file systems
  • Experience with application monitoring systems such as ITRS Geneos
  • Experience with Control-M, job scheduling
  • Experience with AWSv

Compensation

  • The base pay for this role is expected to be between $110,000 and $120,000.
