About the role

  • This is a unique opportunity to be one of the first engineers on the team, influencing key architectural and implementation decisions.
  • Work with Pigweed developers on pw_kernel to complete it and bring it up on internal hardware platforms
  • Integrate the Rust toolchain into our CI/CD pipeline

Responsibilities

  • The NextGen OS team is focused on building Applied Intuition's operating system (OS) stack for future vehicles and new products. This is a unique opportunity to build and work on a new full-stack operating system.
  • As an Embedded Software Engineer on the team, you will develop an embedded firmware platform and Real-time Operating System (RTOS) using Rust and the Pigweed architecture.
  • Build a modern, safety-certified Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and embedded platform
  • Architect and develop highly reliable embedded software
  • This is a unique opportunity to build and work on a new full-stack operating system.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working on embedded devices
  • Hands-on experience with RTOS, Linux, and/or ARM systems

Nice to have

  • Ability to work with safety-critical robotic systems with real-time constraints
  • Previous startup experience
