About the role
- Act as a customer- and product-focused engineer.
- Utilize with React and GraphQL, with the opportunity to learn and make contributions on the backend.
- Stay abreast of emerging frontend technologies and advocate for the adoption of tools and frameworks that align with the company's product vision.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of customer-facing travel web applications, with a primary focus on frontend architecture and user experience optimization.
- Design, develop, and deploy new features specifically for high-traffic travel booking platforms integrated with third-party APIs.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and UX designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions tailored for Rocket Travel's partner platforms.
Requirements
- Experience specified must include each of the following: 5 years of experience with at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, Python, or JavaScript
- 5 years of experience with software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures, including schema design and query optimization for dynamic travel data
- 3 years of experience with building and maintaining distributed systems and microservices architecture
- 3 years of experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, specifically for storing and retrieving travel booking and user profile data
- 2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (such as Git), and agile development practices
- and 2 years of experience in implementing A/B testing frameworks and analyzing user interaction data to drive product decisions in the travel technology domain.

Compensation
- $156,000- $182,000/ per year
