About the role

- Helping the business navigate ambiguity, make informed tradeoffs, and increase technology maturity over time.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders to translate strategy into actionable technology roadmaps focused on value
- Support investment decisions by ensuring project estimates and recommendations align with portfolio priorities
- Work with service providers and vendors to articulate business needs, validate scope alignment, and support governance processes
- Use data and stakeholder input to inform decisions, manage ambiguity, and communicate clear priorities and alternatives
- Collaborate with peers to enhance relationship management, portfolio planning, and governance practices
- Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Services Plan & Build, The IS Business Partner is accountable for building durable relationships with business leaders, shaping long-term demand, and ensuring technology investments are aligned with enterprise strategy and measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in information technology, business engagement, strategic planning, portfolio management, or related roles
Nice to have
- Experience in demand management, strategic roadmap development, and investment or business case planning
- Strong leadership and influence skills, with the ability to guide outcomes through collaboration rather than authority
- Excellent executive level communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and complexity, using insight and judgment to inform decisions and priorities
- Functional and/or technical experience within Corporate Services, General Council, or External Relations domains (e.g., Finance, HR, Legal, Facilities, Procurement, Communications, Risk & Compliance)
- Previous consulting experience would be considered an asset
