About the role

  • The Banquet Setup Attendant is responsible for the accurate and efficient setup, breakdown, and maintenance of banquet spaces at the hotel.
  • This role ensures that all events meet client expectations by following Banquet Event Orders (EOs) and providing exceptional guest service.
  • All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift as business demands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage differing personalities within the office, the hotel, and the community
  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of work areas such as closets, carts, and storage spaces.
  • Perform minor repairs to banquet furniture and equipment as needed, ensuring all items are safe and functional.

Requirements

  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
  • In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to squat and bend
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to work long hours as needed
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
