About the role
- The Banquet Setup Attendant is responsible for the accurate and efficient setup, breakdown, and maintenance of banquet spaces at the hotel.
- This role ensures that all events meet client expectations by following Banquet Event Orders (EOs) and providing exceptional guest service.
- All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift as business demands.
Responsibilities
- Manage differing personalities within the office, the hotel, and the community
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of work areas such as closets, carts, and storage spaces.
- Perform minor repairs to banquet furniture and equipment as needed, ensuring all items are safe and functional.
Requirements
- Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
- In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to squat and bend
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to work long hours as needed
- Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
- Ability to work effectively in stressful, high pressure situations
- Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
