About the role
- This role includes teaching across the program, including CCPB (Communication, Culture and Indigenous Perspectives in Business) and other business-related units.
- A key aspect of the position is supporting students' academic literacy and communication skills development, particularly for first-year and ESL/EAL learners.
- This position incorporates teaching, unit coordination, and program contribution.
Responsibilities
- Integrate academic literacy and communication skill development into teaching to support ESL/EAL and first-year learners
- Lead and support sessional teaching staff, providing guidance on curriculum, assessment, and teaching practice
- Lead moderation, validation, and external benchmarking processes to ensure consistency and academic standards
- Manage academic integrity matters, assessment queries, and appeals in accordance with Curtin College and Curtin University policies
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain curriculum currency and alignment
- Experience working within tertiary pathway programs, with demonstrated understanding of the academic, linguistic, and transition support needs of pathway students progressing to university study.

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating teaching teams, including supporting consistent delivery and assessment practices.
- Experience teaching academic communication, academic literacy, or professional communication subjects.
Skills
- Ensure compliance with institutional academic policies, procedures, and quality assurance frameworks
