  • This role will bring deeper analytical rigor, increased ownership of customer/counterparty engagement, and increase bandwidth in the Business Development team.

Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with cross-functional partners across Project Development, Market Analysis, Finance, and Operations.
  • Manage acquisition processes - coordinating due diligence meetings, support collection of key inputs and support deal structuring and execution
  • Manage RFP responses end‑to‑end-coordinating pricing, strategy, technical input, and bid documentation with development and financial modeling teams.
  • Oversight and peer review of financial and market models supporting pricing, hedge structures, risk evaluation, capacity/REC valuation, and exposure analysis for both new builds and operating assets.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination & Portfolio Support
  • Partner with across the business to ensure all projects have a clear, aligned commercialization pathway that reflects local market design and buyer demand
  • Support internal governance processes-including IC memos, commercial checkpoints, and energy marketing approvals-ensuring clear recommendations and commercial risk narratives.

Requirements

  • Analytical and detail‑oriented, with exceptional modeling capabilities and a track record of translating complex market dynamics into clear commercial insights.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in North American power industry
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian electricity market regulations and supply/demand fundamentals
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point;
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field required
  • Master's degree or CFA/FRM is considered an asset.

Compensation

  • $96,800.00 - $121,000.00
  • You will also receive three additional days off annually to observe any other events that are important to you.

  • As Senior Analyst, Business Development - Americas, you will play a critical role within the Business Development team in North America in the pursuit of growth opportunities across gas-fired generation, renewables and battery storage.
