About the role
- At Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government, our philosophy for care is based on wester medicine provided through an Indigenous lens to benefit the patients predominantly of the hitac̓u community.
- This is a 6 month term position with possibility of extension.
- Helping patients understand healthcare protocol and with other daily hygiene activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintains confidentiality on all matters relating to the affairs of the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.
- Clinical experience in a First Nation setting would be a strong asset.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Education and Experience
- Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized program.
- Current LPN licensed and member in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Successful completion of (or willing to complete) the BCCDC Immunization Competency Course.
- Foot care certification.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Up-to-date immunizations and clear TB Test.
- Satisfactory criminal records check (vulnerable sector).
- Current Class 5 BC Driver's Licence and access to
