About the role
- The Assistant Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track and Field Coach reports to the Head Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track and Field Coach.
- Assist in preparation for practices, competitions, and team travel.
- Assist with prospect camps/clinics to increase local and regional exposure of and recruitment to UIS Cross Country/Track and Field.
Responsibilities
- Teach and instruct advanced level skills, techniques, and game strategies inherent in the highest level of competitive play; developing UIS men's and women's cross country/track and field student-athletes to successful competitive achievements.
- Collaborate with athletic training staff, academic support personnel, strength and conditioning, compliance staff, and other campus personnel to enhance and support UIS men's and women's cross country/track and field student-athlete experience.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the department's strategic goals and on-going initiatives.
Requirements
- complete required NCAA and UIS training.
