About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial, operational, risk mitigation and KPI aspects of portfolio management across the solar and BESS portfolio
  • Deliver portfolio financial analysis and reporting for the executive team, including monthly reporting, project metrics, cost analysis, and the execution of financial valuation modeling assignments
  • Onboard and maintain counterparty relationships, including: PPA offtakers, community solar subscribers and subscriber management platforms, AHJs, utilities, consultants, and hosts
  • Manage the commercial and operational performance of battery energy storage (BESS) assets, including dispatch strategy and revenue reporting
  • Lead the onboarding of newly energized projects into the AM platform, including COD handoff, as-built data capture, and pro forma true-up
  • Design and own AM processes, and lead automation and AI initiatives as Product Manager-driving AM platform automation primarily through AI tools and agents to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scale
  • Partner with the Operations team on all structural and technical aspects of Aspen Power's solar and BESS projects
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to transform raw data into clear, well-designed presentations that convey the intended value proposition

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in renewable energy asset management, financial analysis, or portfolio management, including significant team leadership experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in the development and operation of battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Experience with, and working knowledge of, AI agents, skills and their application to daily workflows

Compensation

  • $140,000-$175,000 depending on candidate experience
  • Build and manage the portfolio's annual operating budget, including OpEx planning and budget-vs-actual variance management
