About the role
- The company's first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to 5 years without refueling.
- Radiant is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician who will have the opportunity to apply a variety of skillsets while fabricating and assembling our development microreactor unit.
- Additional paid pregnancy leave for CA employees. - Daily catered lunch.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to achieve company goals.
- 5+ years of fabrication or assembly work experience.
- Ability to work at elevated heights occasionally (scissor lifts, ladders, etc.)
- Experience operating and working with high pressure and temperature systems.
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
- Experience with CNC programming and manual machine operation.
- Knowledge/experience working with electrical components and high voltage systems.
- Experience operating safely in shop environments.
- Experience lifting, rigging, and preparing for heavy crane operations of complicated parts.
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Positive attitude and able to work well on a team.
- Able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Able to stay organized and strong attention to detail.
- Able to use traditional inspection tools for the inspection of parts and assemblies.
- Able to read mechanical drawings and interpret tolerances.
- Able to read and interpret fluid or electrical schematics.
- Experienced in manufacturing with the use of machine tools, saws, grinders etc.
- Physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Able to work in outdoor environments as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience with GD&T interpretation preferred.
