About the role
- A caregiver in this position works varying shift | part-time| M-F| 8:00am-5:00pm.
- A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits which impact their abilities to successfully perform independent living skills.
- Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
- Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
- Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
- Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
- Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.

- As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide wide-ranging services to help patients regain their ability to perform normal activities, self- care and responsibilities.
- In this role, you will focus on maximizing their treatment outcomes and assisting them in relearning necessary skills to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's D egree
- Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor.
- Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.
- Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families.
- Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
