About the role
- The Vice President of Equity Capital Markets will play a senior role in capital raising, investor relationship management, and market development for Madison's investment vehicles.
- The VP will act as a strategic representative of the firm across external channels and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Lead capital-raising efforts across the Midwest region
- originate and manage relationships with institutional investors, consultants, family offices, wealth platforms, and other qualified allocators.
- Drive new business development through targeted outreach, proactive prospecting, and ongoing regional market intelligence.
- Partner with ECM leadership to refine the firm's go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning across open- and closed-end fund offerings.
- Lead capital-raising efforts across the Midwest region; originate and manage relationships with institutional investors, consultants, family offices, wealth platforms, and other qualified allocators.
Requirements
- 10-15 years of relevant capital-raising or institutional sales experience, ideally within private equity, real estate private equity, or related alternative investments.
- Deep knowledge of real estate private equity, REIT markets, and broader private alternatives landscape.
- strong presentation capabilities with the ability to engage senior-level investors.
- Ability to work independently while fostering strong internal collaboration.
- Willingness to travel domestically (with focus on Midwest) and internationally as required.
- Existing network of consultant, institutional, and private wealth relationships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Highly analytical with strong organizational and project-management abilities.
Nice to have
- Demonstrated success managing a territory and raising capital from institutional investors (Midwest experience strongly preferred).
- Bachelor's degree required
- MBA or advanced degree in finance, real estate, or economics preferred.
