About the role

- In this role, you will be responsible for the real-time monitoring and basic remote operations of Nexamp's fleet of distributed solar and battery energy storage assets to ensure safe, reliable and optimized performance 365 days a year.
Responsibilities
- Manage and triage the operations email inbox, including alarms, site notifications, and vendor communications, routing and escalating messages based on SOPs and operational priorities.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of outages, events, and resolutions in Nexamp's monitoring and fleet management tools to support reporting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Continuously seek to optimize monitoring practices, alarm configurations, and SOPs in collaboration with team members to enhance safety, responsiveness, and asset performance.
- Maintains detailed records that support root cause analysis and process improvements.
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
Requirements
- Occasionally will be required to work OT to support the needs of the Nexamp Operations Center
Nice to have
- 0-2 years of related experience in a technical, operations, control room, utility, or similar environment.
- Basic knowledge of electricity/electrical terms (voltage, current, power, energy) a plus
- Ability to work 40 hours per week including weekends and holidays
- Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Responds to alarms and events with a solution-oriented, service-first mindset, prioritizing safety, uptime, and contractual obligations.
- Escalates issues appropriately and provides accurate, timely updates to stakeholders.
- Comfortable working through repetitive tasks with great attention to detail
- Computer knowledge and competency with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
Compensation
- The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Nexamp ranges from $24/hour - $30/hour.
- In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
- Actual base salary may vary based upon, but is not limited to, skills and qualifications, internal equity, performance, and geographic location.
