About the role
- The Director, Revenue Accounting & Operations will play a critical role in owning the revenue accounting to ensure a high quality, accurate and efficient monthly and quarterly financial close.
- Based in Bedford, MA, you will have the opportunity to interact with all Finance functions as well as other groups cross functionally within the Quote-to-Cash process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain revenue recognition policy for all revenue streams (License, Maintenance, Professional Services, SaaS) in accordance with ASC 606
- Manage the Revenue Operations team and all related activities including ensuring that all monthly and quarterly close activities are completed timely and in accordance with company policies
- Manage the credit and collections team to ensure timeliness of collections and mitigate credit risk
- Continuously assess and develop internal control structure to ensure accuracy in reported revenue and contract asset/liability balances
- Assist other Finance teams in creating and delivering financial metrics and revenue reports to support reporting for forecasts, actuals and tax-related matters
Requirements
- Significant knowledge of ASC 606 and all related guidance regarding revenue recognition in a high-tech software company
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with peers and management up to Executive level, particularly with regard to complex customer negotiations and arrangements
- 7 years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skills
Nice to have
- CPA preferred with experience at a Big 4 or next tier public accounting firm
- Experience with Oracle Financials and Zuora a plus
Compensation
- The salary range for this role is $154,200.00 - $192,800.00.
