About the role
- The Department Manager will oversee production workflows, equipment, team members, and quality across our 5 product lines in a state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility in Carrollton, TX.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that orders are fabricated at the highest quality standards while meeting customer deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Outline, track, and report on key performance indicators to drive accountability and informed decision-making to help the facility reach new levels
- Monitor and enforce adherence to strict manufacturing quality standards (including equipment maintenance and repair) and roll up your sleeves to lead by example where needed. High quality is key to efficient scalability!
- Lead, scale, and continuously train a team of 40+ technicians as they execute daily operational tasks across 3D printing, milling, finishing, injection processing, and assembly
- In this role, you will manage a team of 100+ technicians and 7 directs across 3 shifts in a 24/5 operation.

Requirements
- 7+ years of experience managing a department or large team in a manufacturing environment, ideally in complex or ambiguous settings
- Proven track record of improving KPIs at a team and/or department level
- Experience reporting on performance metrics during recurring business meetings
- Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly
- Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to push improvement initiatives to completion
- Experience scaling teams and operations in high-growth environments
