About the role
- This position is responsible for providing technical and administrative direction on Engineering Department managed projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage & execute complex & multi-faceted projects
- Develop & mentor engineering & facilities associates in all facets of project management & engineering practices
- Provide expert consultation in conceptual design, development & implementation of manufacturing process quality & cost-effective improvements
Requirements
- 13 years of experience managing groups that provide diverse technical support.
- Demonstrated track record of successful completion of projects within time & budget constraints
- Knowledge of food manufacturing facilities requirements, with a focus on food safety.
- Ability to interface with multiple levels within an organization to meet goals & objectives
- Previous experience in regulatory compliance and utility management
- Experience in manufacturing equipment selection, sourcing & installation
- Over 10 - 13 years of experience managing groups that provide diverse technical support.
- Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- American Meat Institute (AMI) guidelines for sanitary designs
- Strong project management & organizational skills
- Experienced in coaching & mentoring skills
- Strong problem-solving & analytical skills
- Ability to interpret and apply building codes within the food manufacturing industry.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical is preferred
Compensation
- $10k-$13k
