About the role
- Location(s): Hybrid, 1 day in office, Waterloo, Ontario
Responsibilities
- Through a market-systems approach and strategic partnerships, MEDA enables access to finance and provides business and technical expertise to build transformative agri-food market systems that create decent jobs, allowing traditionally excluded groups to become active participants in a sustainable economy.
- The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in corporate finance operations, tackling tasks such as month-end close, year-end reporting and audit, investment support, and ongoing ERP system enhancements.
- Support investment-related reporting and analysis
- Support investment-related account entries
- Perform variance analyses and prepare periodic financial reports.
- Support tax filings process
- Collaborate on financial data templates to enhance reporting and planning capabilities
- Act as a finance business partner to investment teams and budget owners, providing insights and support.
- Proven capacity to manage competing priorities in high-pressure, fast paced environments while maintaining accountability for deliverables
- Appreciation and support of MEDA's faith statement, values and goals
Requirements
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, data analysis) and expertise working with ERPs, preferably NetSuite and NSPB or similar.
- Support cash forecast process as required
