Responsibilities
- Blend & Technical Services Technician role supports lubricant product development through the preparation, blending, handling, packaging, inventory management, and shipment of experimental and commercial lubricant formulations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately measure, weigh, blend, label, and document materials.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing business needs.
- Experience working in a research and development (R&D), quality control, pilot plant, or laboratory support environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to safely handle chemicals, additives, lubricants, and petroleum-based products while following established safety procedures.
- Experience following detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely move containers, drums, and laboratory materials using appropriate equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, blending, chemical handling, logistics, or related technical environment.
- Experience preparing lubricant, fuel, chemical, or specialty product blends.
- Knowledge of lubricant formulations, additive chemistry, or petroleum products.
- Experience operating blending, mixing, packaging, and material handling equipment.
- Experience using laboratory information management systems (LIMS), SAP, inventory systems, or laboratory databases.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling, shipping requirements, and transportation regulations.
- Forklift experience
- Experience supporting product development, field testing, or customer sample preparation.
Compensation
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,100 - $120,100.
